Virtually everything you touch has been engineered in some way—from air and water to highways and bridges to food and clothing to antibiotics and antacids to laser beams and heart valves to microwave ovens and automobiles.

Analytical skills, technological expertise, and problem-solving abilities are required in occupations ranging from medicine and healthcare to law and politics to business and sales.
