IME lab

Imagine creating a product or system that improve the quality of life for humankind. That—in a nutshell—is the definition of an engineer. Basically, engineering is about applying scientific and mathematical principles, experience, judgment, and common sense to make things that benefit people.

Engineers put cause and effect into motion every day. They make a discovery or invent a product that has a continuously evolving benefit to society. Virtually everything you touch has been engineered in some way—from air and water to highways and bridges to food and clothing to antibiotics and antacids to laser beams and heart valves to microwave ovens and automobiles.

The skills you can acquire as an engineering major at Newark College of Engineering  will open up doors to hundreds of career possibilities. Analytical skills, technological expertise, and problem-solving abilities are required in occupations ranging from medicine and healthcare to law and politics to business and sales. If you can be an engineer—you can be anything.
