STEM Success Academy

The STEM Success Academy is meant for NJ Community College students interested in pursuing a BS or higher degree in Engineering. It covers fundamentals and interdisciplinary topics in engineering with hands-on essentials of prototyping sessions in the NJIT Makerspace. 

Academic Enrichment Initiatives

Who is eligible?

Any New Jersey Community College student interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering. 

What topics will be covered?

  • Fundamental and interdisciplinary topics in engineering
  • Hands-on essentials of prototyping sessions in the NJIT Makerspace
  • Research workshops focusing on emerging technologies conducted by NJIT research faculty.

Is there a cost?

  • The Academy is free of charge and will include tutoring and peer mentor support. 
  • Eligible participants may receive stipends of up to $500.
  • All participants are expected to maintain 80% or higher attendance and participation in all activities.

Tentative Dates:

June 17 – August 8 (Five weeks, final dates will be announced in June).
